This website was created by the nutrition department of the United States and it contains a list of resources about fighting obesity along with other useful information regarding the issue that currently plagues the United States. Mainly the website is a subsection of the Diet and Health Conditions section within the nutrition.gov website. This website can be used as a reference to the different topics and questions that come up when discussing obesity. It also has useful resources on how to stay active and eat healthy. This website is similar to the one we are trying to create as there is a lot of overlap in the information provided.

Obesity Action is another website that is similar to our website and the organization shares a common theme with what we are trying to accomplish. The mission of Obesity Action as an organization share some of the same characteristics and this is definitely a useful resource for inspiration. The website has tons of resources about awareness and education for obesity along with a support section. The site also has a calendar of events that take placed monthly which are usually events related to spreading awareness and useful information about fighting obesity and staying on track.

World Obesity is a website that is mainly used to connect people that struggle with obesity and it is a network of resources and a support system that can be used to fight obesity. It is also a center for data on obesity and it releases tons of statistics about obesity. This is similar to our website because we provide infographics related to obesity and some of the data from this website could be used to make future infographics. The site also contains a lot of articles that are curated to specific topics about obesity and also provides road maps to resolution for the disease.

Obesity Medicine is a website that is dedicated to not only just providing resources on obesity, but also a network of doctors and professionals within the field that work on methods to treat obesity. This website is mainly used as a network for people to join and learn from. The organization also shares a similar mission to what we are trying to accomplish and holds events throughout the year in person for people to meet and discuss their challenges. This allows people to work together to fight obesity.

Rethink Obesity is another website that is focused on fighting obesity and has sources for advocacy and resources similar to our website. It has a section like ours about programs related to fighting obesity. It also has statistics and some infographics that are based off weight gain and weight loss statistics. It looks at obesity over the last 20-30 years and really puts in perspective how much worse the issue has gotten in recent history. This could be a useful website that is related to ours for anyone looking for resources on obesity.

Obesity.org is a website that mainly works with professionals and various others on building conferences and educational opportunities regarding the issue of obesity. They have a series of informative professional and academic publications regarding obesity. This website differs from some of the others as it is meant more for academia. However, there are still a lot of similarities to the website we are creating as it contains some of the same topics.

The nature.com website is a website that has a subsection that is completely devoted to the Internation Journal of Obesity. This journal contains all sorts of articles and information regarding the spread of obesity and how to prevent it in the future. There are also publications within the journal that are referencing some of the same information that we are trying to provide with the website made by our team. Overall, there are quite a few related sections in this journal and website.

This website is a section of mayo clinic which is a site for all sorts of resources based on medical health. This obesity section contains in depth information on symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, and references to doctors. It also contains some statistics on obesity similar to our website. Overall, it is a useful resource and has a lot of information related to what we are trying to present.

This website is from the School of Public Health at Harvard University and has a lot of similarities to the other websites and the one we created. It has information on the definition of Obesity along with trends and statistics. It also has a list of causes and possible ways for prevention. The site also provides resources for recovery and organizations that help with fighting obesity.

The NHS site is for the UK and it provides vital information about obesity for people living in the UK. It has signs of obesity along with treatment and diagnosis. It is interesting to see the approaches taken by organizations outside of the US for the same issue. There are plenty of similarities between the other websites and this one, but also key differences since it is meant for a different population.
